At the wee hours of Thursday, 6th July 2023, 20 Support Groups who were rooting for the LP Candidate in the November 11 Governorship election, dumped the LP and affirmed their support for Muri Ajaka of SDP.
In a communiqué written to the Leader of the Obidient movement , Dr Sunday Bala OMA and made available to news men. The leader of the Groups, Comrade Benjamin Isah, on behalf of the 20 Groups thanked the LP Support Group Forum for the partnership thus far. But were swift to give reasons why they are backing down their support for the LP Candidate and throwing their full weight behind Muri Ajaka of SDP for the November 2023 Election. Below is the excerpts from their Communique.

And also consult all they LG LP Chairman and they told us they have also lost confidence in LP executive at the state level.
*In the meetings we unanimously endorse a candidate of SDP Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka as our governorship* candidate in 11th Nov. 2023 election with the following reasons:
1. We pass vote of no confidence on LP state executive with what happened in the last election.
2. With the track record of all candidate, Muri has done well in the area of Human Capital Development.
3. He is acceptable by majority of our people in Idah Federal Constituency, wen we do our door to door survey.
4. He is the only one who know how to fund his party during election.
5. Adopting him make it easier for us during campaign.
6. Etc…..
We really appreciate the CSG in the state for their understanding as we made this decision today and we apologize for any inconveniences it may cause for anyone.
As we stand for credibility and Development of our dear state.
