By Ikhili Ebalu, Benin City

Mr. Osunde Osaigbovo Massy, the Edo State Correspondent of Galaxy TV and crusaderhotnews   was on Sunday presented with an award of Recognition As Peace Ambassador, by a Nigeria-based Non- Governmental Organisation, BA Global Consult.

Presenting the award in Benin City, the President/Founder of the foundation, Bishop Akhalamhe said it was in recognition of the reporter’s bravery and commitment to the journalism profession.

According to him, the foundation decided to recognise the correspondent for his contributions to peace promotion in Nigeria and most especially the September 19 Edo Governorship Election.

Responding, Mr. Osunde Massy thanked the foundation for the award, saying that he least expected it.

“Thank you for this award. I am truly honored to receive it. It is an even greater honor to be placed in such distinguished ranks as those of the past honorees, most of whom have been colleagues at one time or another, all of whom have made important contributions to life in our city, state and all of whom I consider to be friends.”

“Special thanks goes to the Advisory Committee for having the generosity to
nominate me, to Bishop Akhalamhe, President, BA GLOBAL CONSULT (BAGC).” To God Almighty, my Family and to the sponsors for making this event possible.”

“To the extent that I am being honored this evening because of a supposed ability to reach across the world and to craft workable solutions to difficult public policy issues by combining the best ideas from each side and compromising any differences, an ability shared by many past honorees, once again am very grateful to God Almighty.” He stated
