Christians have been called upon to use the period of Christmas and New Year to pray for the development of the state and the country at large.
The Ogohi Ejina Agala Ater Chief Friday Obaka made the call while speaking on the importance of prayers during the festivities period with our Correspondent in Lokoja.
Chief Friday Obaka said prayers help the people of the Society live in peace and in attracting development for all.
The Ogohi Ejina Agala Ater Chief Friday Obaka maintained that what the Society needs is Unity of purpose noting that through collective responsibilities progress will be obtained.
According to him the birth of Jesus brought hope to mankind stressing that the cardinal agenda of his coming is to promote love and save the world from sin.
The Ogohi Ejina Agala Ater Commended Governor Yahaya Bello, the Attah Igala HRM Alaji Mathew Opaluwa, the Chairman of Dekina Local Government Area for their efforts promoting peace in the state and Prayed God grant them wisdom, courage to move the state to Greater Heights.
Chief Friday predicted that next year will be better and Progressive and called on leaders in authority not to be distracted and called on them to remain focus in providing gains of democracy to the people of the country.
He also called on Governor Yahaya Bello to accept the call of well meaning Nigerians to run for presidency in 2023 noting that the current period is favourable for the Youths to get power at the center.
The Ogohi Agala Called on the people of his domain to remain United and always chart a common course of developing the area adding that the community lack basic amenities.
