The Senior Special Adviser on Special Duties to Kogi State Speaker, Hon. John Oniwaye Ogede1 has described his visits to Felicitate with Ward Executives in Bunu axis as just an ordinary visit, out of love to share in the joy of the Yuletide.
The Special Adviser made it known against the backdrop of insinuations making the rounds that his visit has created in the minds of few people, expressed commendation to the Council Chairman and APC Chairman for how far they have provided sincere Leadership to the Council and Party in Kabba Bunu LGA.
Recall that the Special Adviser along side his Ward stakeholders recently visited all the APC Ward executives in Bunu axis to celebrate Christmas with them.
He appealed and disabused the minds of those thinking that his visit was Political, said his visit was friendly and to appreciate the Executives who should not only be made relevant during election.
The Special Adviser disclosed that he is aware of the guidelines about campaign and politicking ahead 2023, said I’ll not jump the gun, apologized to those who felt offended by his visit, said it was aimed at sharing love in the yuletide season.
The Special Adviser said his visit should not be misconstrued to be a political campaign movement for his House of Assembly bid and the House of Representative bid of his boss, Rt Hon Princess Matthew Kolawole.
” I, Hon. Ogede1 wishes to categorically state that this assertion as misconstrued with my visit is totally wrong and very far from the misconceived visit as 2023 is still a bit far from now and in the hands of Almighty God”.
The Special Adviser disclosed to the media that he is yet to decide whether he will be contesting or not and said Let the will of God be done as at the appropriate time he will make his intentions publicly known if at all he has any Political aspiration.
” It is very imperative for those spreading the rumors to check the report and news item made out of the visit as it was rightly stated during the meeting with the Ward Executives and Stakeholders that I, Hon. Ogede1 made it clearly known that the reason for the visit was not for campaign rather it is in line with the directives of His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello that all appointees should be his ambassadors at their respective levels and capacities”.
Hon. Ogede1 further noted that it is not only when politicians need votes that they are expected to visit Ward executives and put smiles on their faces, said Christmas signifies a period of sharing and given back to the society, a significant that made him visit the Executives.
Hon Ogede1 made it clearly known to the executives that the improvement of people’s welfare is one of the key fundamental blueprint of the administration of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello which was his motivating factors to go in the visit and to also familiarize himself with them.
He further pleaded with the Ward executives to continue to propagate the agenda of GYB2PYB movement as there is no alternative to APC and the Presidential Aspiration of Gov Yahaya Bello.
Hon Ogede1 also charged the executives to cooperate with security agencies at the grassroot level to complement the security architecture of Gov. Yahaya Bello, disclosing that Security is everyone’s business.
He wished the people of Kabba Bunu a Merry Christmas and a prosperous happy new year in advance, thanked the Traditional Rulers, Council Chairman, Party Chairman, all the APC Executives, for their abiding faith in the administration of Gov Yahaya Bello.
