Yuletide: Make Welfare, Full Payment of Salaries of Council Workers Priority, As We Celebrate Birth Of Jesus Christ.


 

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees NULGE has tasked leaders at all levels to return the efficiency and effectiveness that was the bedrock of Local Government Administration as a way of checking the challenges in the country.

The Kogi State NULGE Chairman, Comr. Tade Adeyemi stated this on Thursday while felicitating with Christians in the State and world over on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration, said with effective Council administration, the many challenges facing the nation would be a thing of the past.

Comr. Tade said until workers at the local government levels are given there dues, through better welfare and salaries, checking rural urban migration, labour turnover and anti social vices, would be a harculean tasks.

According to Comr, Tade, the leadership of NULGE will continue to work hard to ensure that workers welfare and paymeny of full salaries is made a priority.

The NULGE Chairman charged Christians to use this special occasion which commemorates the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ to pray for the peace and unity of the country and a restoration of improved welfare and salaries to council administration.

Comr. Tade said Inspite the challenges, the need to give thanks for the gift of life, while looking forward to a prosperous New year of bliss for council workers should be their priority.

Comr Tade congratulated christians for witnessing yet another Celebration of Christmas, wished Members of NULGE and people of the State a prosperous New year.
