Yuletide: Kogi Women Affairs Commissioner Felicitates With Christians, Calls For Renewed Protection For Women and Children


 

The Kogi State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Hajia Fatima Kabiru Buba has sent a message of Felicitation to Christians on the Celebration of this year’s Christmas celebration.

Hajia Fatima in a Christmas message urged Christians in the State to use this special occasion which commemorates the birth of the Jesus Christ for fervent prayers, selfless services for the State as well as a renewed call for the protection of women and children.

She explained that Christmas celebration calls for renewed Commitment to making the state great, urged the citizens to show love and kindness to women and children through sacrificial giving.

The Commissioner tasked christians on the need to be their brother’s keeper, said the Christmas season should be for showing love and care for women and children, commended the enabling environment created by Gov. Yahaya Bello for peace to thrive in the state.

Hajia Fatima called for Prayers for the nation and Kogi State in particular, said 2020 is undeniably hard and challenging one for the nation in view of the ravaging scourge of Covid19 amidst other economic and security challenges.

While she Congratulated Gov. Yahaya Bello on the special occasion of this year’s Christmas, Hajia Fatima rejoiced with the people of the State Particularly women and children for witnessing yet another Christmas, prayed for a prosperous and more rewarding New year.

The Commissioner called for support for the administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello and the APC led administration in the coming year, prayed God to grant the State prosperity and happiness in the new year.
