Youths under the aegis of youths from Idoani again took to the streets on wednesday protesting the killing of Pastor Babajide Babafemi Olutoye.
The killing has also forced his twin brother, Babatunde to flee the country and is believed to be hidding abroad for fear of being killed after two aborted kidnapping attempts that followed with several threats, letters and phone harassments; similar to that which eventually took the life of his twin brother.
Although, both men of God are indigenes of Idoani, they were raised in the South Western part of the country before their pastoral works took them to Southern Kaduna and other Northern parts of Nigeria; where Pastor Babajide met his untimely death in the hands of bandits while his twin brother escaped.
The group who gave knocks to President Muhammadu Buhari for not doing enough to bring the perpetrators to book, lamented that the death and escape of Babajide and Babatunde respectively have brought untold hardship to their parents
The youths armed with placards with various inscriptions charged the Federal and Kaduna State Governments with other Northern Region States and the Security Agencies to urgently find the
killers of their illustrious son, Pastor Babajide.
The youths also called out the government’s for not doing enough to protect his twin brother, Babatunde
who escaped from the bandits.
According to the protesters, Pastor Babajide was kidnapped and later killed in cold blood in November 2017 while ministering in the church in Kafanchan in Southern Kaduna while his brother was abducted,but was fortunate to escape from his abductors.
However, the families and friends have gathered several times in their village at Idoani, a suburb of Ondo State, the youths in anger of the lukewarm action of the government and Security Agents in apprehending the bandits.

The protesters while speaking to Newsmen called on the government to unravel the circumstances leading to the murder of the pastor and the disappearance of his brother, saying that the killing of christians from the West in the Northern part of the country has gone out of control and called for concerted effort to curb the activities of the bandits.
The Spokesperson of the group protesters, Steve Fams-Odogun, lamented that the killers were yet to be unmasked by the Security Agents several years after the sad incidence. In accordance with the information gathered, the bandits are still interested in the life of Pastor Babatunde Olutoye and other prominent men of God that kept on propagating Christianity which is against the Boko Haram sect’s belief system.
They urged the international communities to join hands with the Federal Government and the Security Agencies to unravel the circumstances leading to his brutal murder and subsequent abduction of his twin brother while officiating in the church.
