Youth Empowerment described as a collective responsibility of individual and NGO’S

The Director General State Fiscal Transparency Accountability and Sustainability SFTAS, Siraj Sa’id stated this at a graduation of one hundred and twenty youth and flag -off of three thousand youth free skills acquisition organized by Millennium Global African Initiative MAGI in Minna.

Mallam Siraj Sa’id disclosed that Millennium African Global Initiative has succeeded in changing the narrative of redundancy to practical acquisition of skills.

He added that the programme have changed the mindset and situation of the youth, nothing that MAGI has adopted the best strategy by establishing a workable collaboration with the State government.

The Director General commended MAGI for it’s unending effort in training over fifteen thousand unemployment youth in the State from it inception to date.

In his keynote address , the Principal Assistant Secretary General of Nigerian Union of Teachers NUT Comrade Labaran Garba said that skills acquisition is the best from of knowledge, describing it as functional education.

He then called on the State Government to identify itself with laudable programmers like this and support such organization that are out to assist and develop younger generation.

In his welcome address , the coordinator of Mellineum Global African Initiative , Marshal Okoro appreciated the dignitaries present and Pleaded with them to look forward in empowering the grandaunts.

In her goodwill message the Commissioner of Education Hajiya Hannatu Jibrin Salihu disclosed that the programme is apt as a lot of youth are unemployed as a result of unavailable of white collar jobs.

According to her, the training would reduce juvenile delinquency and contribute to the economic development of the state.
