Youths in Niger state have been advised to ensure that the next administration implement coherent,effective and sustainable Youth development Agenda that would make them to be self reliance and not depends on government for employment.
Professor Mustapha Zubairu, yhe coordinator Niger State Urban Support Programme, stated this while delivering lecture at this year Credible Leaders and good governance,Award day in Minna the state capital.
Prof.Mustapha Zubairu said youths in the state should engaged Gubernatorial candidates in the state,to determine which of the candidates has the capacity willingness to partner with the youths in their developmental programmes.
According to him Party label is not important but the willingness and the ability of a candidate to carry them along.
He observed that a serious Governmentent that want to succeed must empower the Youths to be self reliance,”most especially know that technology has almost taken over the workforce”.
He then advised youths in the state to strike a deal with the Gubernatorial candidate, if elected a qualified Youth be appointed as a Commissioner or a Special Adviser that would be saddle with the responsibilities of implementation of Youth designed development Programmes in the next administration.
In his speech the State Chairman of Vanguard for Credible Leadership,Niger state, Comrade Umar Mohammed said the Award day is been organized to rewards those that have performed credible in their area of specialization.
According to the Chairman Comrade Umaru stated that, it took VCL years to identify the recipient’s,base on their tracks records..
Among the awardees are Honourable Member representing Bosso,in the state House of Assembly Malik Madaki Bosso, Alhaji Sulaiman Bala kuta ANNU of state Pension Board Minna,among others.
