You’re a Passionate, Humane Governor – Hon. Karimi Hails Gov. Bello’s Approval to Sponsor Dr. Busayo Agbana’s Treatment in India.


 

A two time Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Sunday Karimi has described Gov. Yahaya Bello as a passionate leader with listening ears.

The former Lawmaker made the remarks in a chat with Newsmen, expressed his appreciation to Gov. Yahaya Bello for his swift response in coming to the aid of Dr. Busayo Agbana, Provost College of Medicine at the Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba who was diagnosed with cancer of the colon and needs medical attention in India.

Dr. Busayo Agbana is currently receiving treatment in Nigeria, but the huge financial involvement for family members which they can no longer bear the huge burden as well as the amount needed to carry out the operation in India.

According to the Doctors in charge of Dr. Busayo’s treatment, said after due consultation with a capable India Hospital, #37,289,680Million naira was needed for the operations.

The former Lawmaker who represented Yagba Federal Constituency between 2011 and 2019, said he was able to put a call through to Gov. Yahaya Bello yesterday and made a follow up with the Chief of Staff to the State Government today, expressed appreciation that within twenty four hours of his talking and begging the Governor to come to the aid of Dr. Busayo Agbana, said Gov. Bello has magnanimously granted approval for the State to take over the treatment and fly Dr. Busayo to India for the treatment.

Hon. Karimi described the passionate and humble disposition of Gov. Bello who in twenty four hours has asked that the State Government take up the responsibility of the medical needs of Dr. Busayo Agbana.
