He is by name All. Yakubu Yusuf Okala. He is from Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State. He is an accountant by profession.
He bagged his B.sc in accounting from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. He is a chartered accountant. He qualified to become a chartered accountant since 2002. In 2013 he became the fellow of the institute of Ahmadu Bello University.
He worked briefly with the then federal ministry of women affairs and youth development which is currently now the federal ministry of women affairs and social Development for the period of one year.
He later moved to embrace a pet project of women trafficking and child labour education foundation of her Excellency the wife of then vice- president of Nigeria. Hajia Titi Atiku Abubakar for the period of 2years between 2002 – 2004.
Alh. Yakubu Yusuf Okala later moved his working ability to the banking sector. He worked within the banking industry for the period of 12years i.e from 2004 – 2012.
During this period he served several Bank such as Prudent Bank, then Skye Bank, intercontinental Bank and access Bank. Where he played a role of internal control and inspection Department of the Bank.
He later moved ahead to work with Micro-Cred, an international Micro finance Bank that specializes majorly in development financing into giving credit at cheeper rate to those who want to start SCB.
He later became the head of internal audit for the African region. He also worked with an international development organisation call “Malaria Consortium” and he was the head of the finance and country management accountant in 2013.
It was on the 21st of March, 2016, His Excellency Alhaji yahaya Bello considered him worthy and capable, appointed him as the kogi state Auditor General.
Presently he has resigned to join the Guber race for kogi state after receiving the consent of GYB on his ambition to succeed him come 2024.
