YAGBA EAST 2023: DEAR APC DELEGATES, LET’S DO MORE.

A frontline House of Assembly aspirant in Kogi State, Ogbeni David Oni Sunday, has asked the All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates in Yagba East to consider character and track record in choosing candidate for the party in the forthcoming primary election.

In an open letter to the delegates released on Monday morning, the mining engineer and former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Yahaya Bello on Industries and Productivity said, his records within the his few months as an appointee of government is unmatched by others.

Ogbeni added that while other aspirants are trying to woo delegates with promises of what they’ll do if given the opportunity, he stands distinguished with records of what he has done for the people of Yagba East, urging the delegates to empower him with their votes to DO MORE.

He said: “My beloved fathers and mother, brothers and sisters who are APC delegates in the coming primary election, I am before you in humility and with a great sense of responsibility to solicit your vote to become the candidate of our party the APC.

“I am not unaware that other aspirants have come to you for the same purpose, but in your wisdom, I beseech you to put all of us in a scale and weigh our capacity vis a vis our commitment to community development.

“While others are promising to empower women and youths in the constituency, I am already doing that, with the recent being the empowerment of over 100 widows. I have provided scholarships to several students in the constituency and have also supported young entrepreneurs.

“I provided solar powered street lights to Irunda community which was in total darkness since forever. I have absolute reverence for the traditional institution and leaders of our community and I have worked closely with them to attract good things to our land.

“In light of the above, I submit that unlike others, I am not coming with a promise to start, but to seek your support to continue and DO MORE for Yagba East. Together, we can build the Yagba East of our dream. VOTE FOR ME!”
