World HIV AIDS Day; Lokoja City Clinic & Maternity Organises Free Medical Outreach


 

No fewer than two hundred and fifty people today turned out for the free medical outreach program organized by the lokoja city clinic & maternity.

 

In an interview with the Chief Medical Director of the Clinic Ayodele Ayeni the program was organized in commemoration of the world HIV aids day, according to him the outreach program is part of their initiative geared towards providing good avenue for residence of lokoja especially those from the traditional area to have better medical attention and examination.

He noted that their is a growing concern about the new upsurge in the spread of HIV/AIDS based on national health statistics and recent test carried out at various clinics and hospitals across the country.
Ayodele Ayeni added that the free medical outreach program is a way to encourage people to be more conscious of their health status and for them to imbibe healthy lifestyle.

The outreach which was well attended by a large number of lokoja residence from all works of life provided an avenue for the people to have good knowledge of their health condition and for many others to have an update on their health status.

A Comprehensive medical advices as well as counseling were equally administered by specialist medical officers during the outreach.

The Lokoja City clinic & Maternity have been rendering sound medical services in the traditional areas of lokoja metropolis in the past ten years with significant impact on the health of the people.
