World Bank and National Coordination team’s visit, clear indication of your government’s collaboration, commitment to development in Kogi State – Kogi Environment Commissioner sends appreciation note.

 

The Task Team of world Bank and National Project Coordination of ACReSAL project recently paid a working visit to Kogi State with the aim to strengthen the partnership between the state and world Bank, facilitating the seamless implementation of the ACReSAL projects in Kogi State

It is on this note, I wish to express my profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, HE Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for His exceptional leadership and commitment to transforming Kogi State.

As Honourable Commissioner for Environment and Ecological Management and Chairman, State Steering Committee ACReSAL, I have witnessed Firsthand the positive impact of your administration’s initiatives. The visit by the World Bank and National Coordination team is a clear indication of your government’s collaboration and commitment to development in Kogi State.

Particularly, I appreciate your availability and readiness to meet with the team on short notice, demonstrating your enthusiasm and support for the project’s progress

Let me equally extend my heartfelt appreciation to the World Bank Task Team, ably led by Chief.Dr. Joy Iganya Agene, and the National Project Coordination Team of ACReSAL, under the capable leadership of Alhaji AbdulHamid Umar. Your collaborative spirit, technical expertise, and tireless efforts have significantly contributed to the project’s remarkable progress and achievements.

Your impactful visit to Kogi State to assess the project’s progress on Gully stabilization and Erosion Control in Etahi, Ankpa and Omigbo and provide valuable input for seamless implementation of the ACReSAL projects in Kogi State is truly commendable. The expert evaluation and recommendations provided will undoubtedly enhance the project’s effectiveness, and we appreciate the commitment to ensuring the successful execution of this critical initiative.

In addition, I will also appreciate the Project Coordinator, Kogi ACReSAL, Chief. Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto OON, and her team for their tireless efforts in enhancing positive environmental initiatives, leading to sustainable development in the state. Their dedication has been instrumental in driving the project’s success, particularly in promoting sustainable land management practices to restore land health and productivity, enhance ecological resilience, and support community well-being.

Lastly, let me also appreciate the traditional Heads and Local Government Chairmen who played a significant role in hosting the World Bank and National Project Coordination Team of the ACReSAL project. Specifically, the Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Owoniyi, Chairman Okun Traditional Council, the Ejeh of Ankpa, Alhaji Abubakar Ahmed Yakubu, and the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Alhaji Ahmed Tijani Anaje. These esteemed leaders demonstrated support for the project’s mission, reflecting the collaborative spirit of Kogi State.
