We’re in total Support to fight insecurity in Kogi Says Tricycle & Okada Associations.


 

The State Chairman of Commercial Tricycycle Owners Association ,Comrade Idris Abdulkerim has expressed total Support to kogi State Government in its bid to quell insecurity as it begins State wide registration of Commercial Transporters .

Speaking through the Association’s Vice chairman, comr. Ademu Idakwo, said the on-going registration of over 10-thousand members of Transporters would allowed easy identification of members while plying the roads.

Comr. Ademu revealed that the registration of Conmercial Transporters would enable security Agents to trace criminals that board their members to Utilities to perpetuate evil acts

He urged Members to embrace government’s new policies of the registration exercise by turning out in their numbers to be registered.

Comr. Ademu Who spoke to Newsmen on behalf of the Chairman and the entire Tricycle Operators praised Governor Yahaya Bello administration for introducing genuine programmes geared towards combating crimes in the State.

Similarly,The Kogi State Okada/Motorcycle Riders Association has thown its weight behind the State Government resolution to register all Commercial Transporters positing that the policy to register its members deserved an applaud from all and sundries.

The State Secretary of the Association, Comr. Umar Anase told Journalists in Lokoja on Tuesday that their decisions to support Government decision in registering Commercial Transporters which his members are inclusive is to avart threat to security as a result of unholy behaviours of some persons in the Society.

The Okada State Scribe urged Members to turn up in their numbers and embrace the new policy of Government as part of measures to check mate crimes in its totality.

Comr. Umar equally lauded Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration determination to weed out the activities of undesirable elements in the State.

It would be recall that the Special Adviser to the Governor on security Matters, Commander Jerry Omodara while addressing newsmen on monday in Lokoja remarked that the decision was taken to tackle head-on the challenge of insecurity following the discovery of criminals using Commercial transporters to commit crimes in the State.
