We Will Tackle Insecurity Ravaging Communities In Edo, Ogbemudia

A governorship aspirant under the platform of the Labour Party (LP), Ogbemudia Bassey Osagie, has pledged to tackle insecurity ravaging communities in the state if elected.

Ogbemudia spoke in Benin city, Edo State during an interractive meeting with the leadership of the party, ahead of the forthcoming Edo governorship election.

He stressed the need for improved security across the state to check crime and criminality adding that focus would also be on education, health, roads, job creation and other basic infrastructure.

Osagie said,” No development can take place in an atmosphere without adequate security. Our father and family are afraid to go to the farms because of high rate of insecurity coming from the herdsmen.

“What I am going to do if elected. I am going to form a security dragnets around Edo state where everyone will be secure and protected. We are going to be proactive and if anyone come to hunt us, we are going to pursue such people.

” That is not enough once you made the products, how would you take it to the markets when the roads are bad? So we need to improve the road connectivity between the rural areas to the urban areas where the farmers can sell their crops. When you are transporting it we will ensure will secure the roads to protect our people.

Receiving the aspirant, Edo state chairman of labour party, Kelly Ogbaloi thanked the aspirant and his supporters for identifying with LP in changing the narratives in the state governance and politics.
