The good people of Omala Local Government Area. we are currently faced with a cruel nature of man inhumanity to man in our land.
That will not in anyway deter us from forming a united front to confront the dastardly act of unleashing mayhem on our people.
The suspected herders crisis that has sent palpable fears in the spine of our people and has further displaced some communities is unfortunate, condemnable and to say the least unwarranted.
Since the recent unrest and before it, the government as led by Hon. Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh in Omala Local Government has not rest on it’s oars in stemming the tide to ensure lasting solution to the crisis and other social menace.
This is done by working in close rank with critical stakeholders including security agencies, neighboring local governments, traditional and religious institutions, higher authorities ike the state government, etc.
As we know, security is the business of all. We all must play our parts as stakeholders. Only a peaceful environment attracts meaningful development.
We must desist from spreading fake rumours that may further tense the atmosphere, rather we should indulge in volunteering credible and timely information to security agents to enable them perform optimally.
We thank you all for your concern for our dear Omala Local Government. We thank the religious bodies for their prayers, security agencies for their doggedness, the youths for their tenacity, young and old, women and all other responsible organisations for their moral supports, the state security Adviser and the Yahaya Bello led state government. We have no other home but here, we must not engage in mixing security issues with politics and religion, because that tends to do us more harm than good…GOD forbid!.
Lastly, our hearts are with those who lost loved ones, may GOD console you and grant the souls of the deceased rest.
We are doing everything we can to bring the situation under total control. Details of our strategies are not for public consumption though, but be rest assured, GOD will see us through this trying times as calm is already returning.
