Hon. Vincent Akpai Baba is a visionary leader whose tremendous legacy during his days as the care taker / elected chairman of ANKPA local government area, of Kogi state can never be over emphasised in the history of ANKPA.
It could be recalled that during his days as the care taker /chairman of ANKPA local government area, many villages were electrified, drainages were constructed and many communities benefited from the dividends of democracy under his watch. He single handedly built the new block storey building in the local government secretariat & the chairman’s lodge where the past and present chairmen now use as their office & official residence today.
During his days as the chairman of ANKPA local government area, staff salaries and pensions were paid as at when due and he never once missed paying workers and contractors their due.
Unlike now that paying in percentages has now become the norm & I don’t even think whether local government staff are still collecting salary.
Hon. Baba, your name will be written in the book of gold where the unborn ANKPA sons and daughters will continue to eulogize your tenure as the best chairman ever of ANKPA local government area.
Due to his track record as a dogmatic and grassrooted politician with option A4 record, he was found worthy by the Distinguished Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwakwaso & chosen out of many Kogi citizens to serve as the state coordinator for the Kwankwaso presidential campaign in Kogi state.
