WE REMAIN RESOLUTE IN OUR QUEST FOR A HITCH-FREE FLOOD DISASTER MANAGEMENT IN KOGI STATE———SEMA

 


The Executive Secretary State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Alh Mouktar Atimah and his team made an assessment visit to flooded area along Ajaokuta’s road at Ganaja Village, Gadumo Camp and St Luke Camp.

The Executive Secretary SEMA, asserted that the present administration under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo remains resolute in the quest to achieve hitch-free flood disaster management.

He further said the team was out for the normal routine to ascertain the water level along Ajaokuta’s road at Ganaja Village and inspect drainage channels to avert overflow of water on the road that could obstruct vehicular movement.

The team also visited Gadumo and St Luke Camps. At the two Camps, the Executive Secretary SEMA assured Internally Displaced Persons that the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo remains focused on good governance and the welfare of all flood victims.

Speaking on Wednesday during an assessment visit to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in Ajaokuta LGA and Lokoja LGA, he charged all the flood victims to inculcate maintenance habit to ensure proper usage of all the facilities that State Government procured and installed in the camps.

“We have come to reaffirm the Governor Ododo’s irrevocable commitment towards ameliorating the flood impacts on the victims”. Atimah added.
