“We must remain cohesive to take back power”, Hon. Shaba charges PDP at zonal meeting

 

Lokoja/Kogi Reps Member, Hon. Shaba Ibrahim MHR; has urged his party, the main opposition in Kogi State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on the need to work together to take back power from the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the state.

The PDP lawmaker said this when he attended meeting of Kogi West PDP stakeholders on Thursday. The meeting which was at the instance of Kogi PDP State Deputy chairman, Chief Sam Abenemi, took place at the residence of Senator Tunde Ogbeha, former Kogi West senator.

The stakeholders where gathered to brainstorm on way forward ahead of the 2023 general elections. In attendance were; Hon Shaba Ibrahim, Member Representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, Hon Sam Ranti Abenemi, Kogi PDP Deputy State party Chairman, Hon Faruq State, Kogi PDP Secretary, Hon. Alfred Bello, Kogi PDP Treasurer, Hon. Bologi (Leader), Hon. El shettima, Hon. Shaban (No Case), Hon. Bababudan, Hon Balga, Hon David Ehimony, former party chairmen, women leaders, to mention but few!

Hon. Shaba appreciated the PDP leadership, members and supporters for their steadfastness in the face of the harsh environment the opposition has found itself in the state under the APC administration.

He encouraged the need for reconciliation, as to him, considering the state of affairs in Kogi state, now is the right time to harvest members into the opposition party as the party prepares to take back power from the APC in the forthcoming general elections.
