VICE CHAIRMAN IJUMU LGA SPLASHES CASH ON WIDOWS AND OTHERS

The Ijumu Local Government Vice Chairman, Hon. Rachel Otitolaiye empowers Widows and other party faithfuls across the 15 wards in the Local Government.

Today being sallah day at the Chairman’s residence where party faithfuls and well wishers paid homage to celebrate with the Chairman, the Vice Chairman used the occasion of the celebration to empower four women each from the wards.

In her remarks she expressed her appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kogi state for giving women the opportunity to be elected as Vice Chairmen in all the 21 Local Governments. She also appreciated the Executive Chairman of Ijumu LGA and ALGON Chairman for his leadership qualities which has given her the zeal to give back to the women folks.

The Vice Chairman also praised the Governor’s efforts in tackling security challenges and gave out cash to the security outfits in support of their work towards achieving the Governor’s zero tolerance for crimes in the local government. Other party loyalists who were present at the event were not left out in the cash gift.

The Chairman in his speech, commended the Vice-chairman for taking such initiative to empower the downtrodden and advised that everyone should always put up good character in any capacity they found themselves and that was what earned Hon. Otitolaiye the post of Vice Chairman she occupied today. And that he has no regrets working with her because she has not disappointed him in any way. The Chairman was elated and in his usual character supported the Vice Chairman with the sum of Sixty Thousand Naira for the transport fare of the windows back to their communities.

The windows were full of joy and praise, prayers were offered to God to fortify the Chairman and his Vice Chairman who are their benefactor and also prayed for the State, the Governor and the Governor’s Presidential ambition.
