The death of the Queen Mother of Kano and Bichi Emirates in Kano State, Hajiya Mariam Ado Bayero and sister to Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, the Chief of Staff to the President, has been described as sudden and a great loss to the country.

and Kogi APC Chieftain, made the disclosure in a statement to çondole with Prof. Gambari,
pointed out that the shocking demise of Hajia Mariam, is coming at a time her motherly contributions and wise counsel in moving the country forward is most needed.
In the statement he personally signed, the Protege of the Chief of Staff reads:
“Your Excellency. I write to commiserate with you over the sudden demise of your sister Hajia Mariam Ado Bayero.
Accept my sincere condolences on the death of your beloved Sister, Her Royal Majesty, the Queen Mother of the current Emir of Kano and the Wife of the Late Emir of Kano, His Royal Majesty Ado Bayaro of Kano.
On behalf of myself and my children we pray to Almighty Allah to grant you the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
