Twitter ban, insecurity and constitution amendment: Government is becoming more reactionary than proactive – Hon. Shaba

Lokoja/Kogi Reps member, Hon. Shaba Ibrahim MHR; has opined that the Buhari-led administration is being reactionary than being proactive.

He made this known earlier on Tuesday while featuring on “Nigeria in focus” on AIT.

Speaking on the state of the nation on a handful of pressing matters, he weighed in on the Twitter ban in Nigeria, currently imposed by the Federal Government.

The lawmaker who is a lawyer by training called the Twitter ban, a “regrettable necessity”.

Furthermore he restated his stand on the ongoing constitution amendment hearings, that those to implement the various sections of the constitution including the attitude of Nigerians themselves, is the problem of the constitution and not the constitution itself, hence insisting that those asking for the scrapping for the constitution are asking for the human impossible in as much as the various arms of government are concerned.
