The 30th day of December, 2023 will remain a red letter day to the Director General, Government House Administration, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu as he successfully hosted a twin event by hosting his secondary school mates at Abdul Aziz Attah Memorial College, Okene (AAAMCO). Their set is popularly known as the CLASS OF 80 and also an annual prayer to thank God Almighty for bringing him, his household, relations and friends to the end of the year 2023.
The twin event which took place at his house at Ateba-Agassa in Okene Local Government Area started with the hosting of his CLASS OF 80 school mates. Those of them who were present first observed a minute silence for the souls of their mates who had gone the way of all flesh. Thereafter at the event, they shared sweet memories of their days in school and also how God has remained faithful to those of them alive by keeping them hale and hearty and the wherewithal to carry on with life.
Chief among their discussion at the meeting of AAAMCO CLASS OF 80 was the present encroachment by trespassers into the portion of land alloted as stadium for AAAMCO. They deliberated extensively on how they will be able to stop such an act as it is one way that can lead to the crippling of AAAMCO, a school that has produced many great men across Nigeria.
The CLASS OF 80 also showed appreciation to Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu and others who have taken upon themselves to cater for the less privileged and those down with sickness among them. The meeting came to a close with prayers and a group photograph of the AAAMCO CLASS OF 80.
The second event which started almost immediately was the annual prayer organised by Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu to thank God Almighty for keeping his nuclear and extended family as well as his friends and well wishers for a successful 2023 that will be rolling its mat in less than 48 hours from now.
The prayers were made by the revered ODOVIDI EHEBE, Taaru Aliyu Sadiq. He thanked God Almighty for sustaining Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu serving as the Director General, Government House Administration and all those around him to this time that the year 2023 is winding up. He further prayed for a fresh release of God’s divine blessings upon Alh. Dr. Umaru Oricha Shuaibu and upon all those present at the annual prayer event.
In his remarks, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu gave thanks to ODOVIDI EHEBE and other sub Chiefs who attended the annual prayer organised by him. He prayed that the God of heaven who secured us all throughout 2023 will in the same vein see us worthy to be partakers of His blessings and protection in the incoming year, 2024. There was much eating and drinking by those who graced the annual prayer event.
