The Director-General of the Transformation Support Initiative (TSI), Dame Lucy Akumabor Saleh, has paid a condolence visit to the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, over the passing of his beloved mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda.
Mama Lydia, a devout Christian and woman of noble virtues, passed on in the early hours of Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the University of Jos Teaching Hospital.
Dame Akumabor, accompanied by TSI National Coordinators, visited the Abuja residence of the APC National Chairman on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, to commiserate with him and his family during their moment of grief.
In her remarks, the TSI Director-General expressed heartfelt sympathy to Prof. Yilwatda, urging him to take solace in the fact that his late mother lived a life of faith, integrity, and service to humanity.
“No words, no matter how profound, can take away the pain of losing a loved one,” Dame Lucy said, “but you must draw strength from God and accept with faith the reality of this moment.”
She further described Mama Lydia’s demise as a huge loss not only to her immediate family but also to the nation, noting that her prayers, counsel, and motherly advice would be greatly missed, especially at a time they were most needed by her son.
Members of the TSI entourage included Mrs. Philips (Organizing Secretary), Mr. Ezra Bowen, Mr. Emmanuel Osade, and Ms. Laura. They all joined in praying for God to grant the APC National Chairman and his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
