
Toxicology And Public Health Lecture To Hold In Igbinedion University

The West African Society of Toxicology (WASOT) will on February 19-21, 2025, hold its 12th annual conference at Igbinedion University Okada.
Organized in collaboration with the University and the Centre for Energy and Environment, University of Benin, Benin City, the conference has as its theme, “Toxicology and Public Health: Bridging science and Policy for Healthier Communities.”
A release signed by Lucky U. Eboh-Onokwe Deputy Director, Public Relations, Igbinedion University Okada , stated that, the “The keynote address at the conference will be delivered by Professor Godwin Oju Igile, Professor of Industrial and Environmental Biochemistry, University of Calabar; while the distinguished speaker is Professor Daniel Olorunfemi, Professor of Molecular and Environmental Genotoxicology, University of Benin”.
According to him, the chief host of the three-day event is Professor Lawrence Ikechukweu Ezemonye, Professor of Ecotoxicology and Environmental Forensics, and Vice Chancellor, Igbinedion University, Okada.
Adding that, “the conference will feature cutting-edge research presentations, networking opportunities with experts and peers, and discussions on the latest advancements in toxicology and public health. He stated.
