The Director of Contact and Mobilization, City Boy Movement, North Central Zone, Hajiya Jumai Kebiru Ojochide, has called on Nigerians to support the second-term bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying his administration’s ongoing economic reforms require sufficient time to deliver sustainable growth and development.

Ojochide, who is also a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Support Group, made the call on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, while speaking with journalists at the 16th Public Lecture and Induction into the Good Governance Hall of Fame organized by Democracynewsline.

The event, themed “Economic Reforms for Sustainable Development in a Democracy: The Nigeria Experience,” was held at the Banquet Hall of the Nigeria National Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja, and attracted participants from different sectors of society.

Speaking exclusively with the media at the gathering, Ojochide urged Nigerians who are passionate about the country’s growth and progress to support President Tinubu’s re-election bid.

She expressed optimism that the economic reforms being implemented under the Renewed Hope administration would ultimately lead to greater economic stability, recovery, prosperity and sustainable development.

According to her, Nigerians who understand the direction and objectives of the reforms would appreciate the need for the President to remain in office for another term to consolidate the policies and programmes of his administration.

Ojochide noted that the level of economic decline experienced by the country over the years required comprehensive and far-reaching reforms, stressing that the Tinubu administration was taking steps to overhaul the economy.

She appealed to Nigerians to broaden their understanding of the government’s economic policies and give the reforms time to yield the desired results.
“Rome was not built in a day,” she said, urging citizens to exercise patience and support the administration as it implements its economic agenda.

The APC chieftain further argued that President Tinubu needed a second term to complete and consolidate the ongoing reforms, expressing hope that Nigerians would increasingly begin to experience the positive impact of the policies.

She maintained that sustained implementation of the reforms would be crucial to achieving long-term economic stability and creating an environment conducive to sustainable national development.
