Until the mischievous cabal in the Federal University Lokoja is exposed we will continue to remain at a spot and not make the desired progress.
This was the words of the Convener Congress For Better Nigeria, Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael while speaking with Newsmen on the recent happenings associated with blackmail against the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olayemi Akinwunmi, said the time to expose the mischievous cabal in FUL is now.
Barr. Dare lamented as unfortunate that a group of academics who should be better than the Political class now arrogate so much powers to themselves to do evil, by thriving in always pulling down efforts of the authorities working to make the institution top notch.
The Convener explained that this was the same scenario that played out in the last administration of Prof. Angela Miri as Vice Chancellor, pointed out that this same cabal used all the instruments of blackmail and negative propaganda to rubbish her efforts, explained that the same set up of mischief makers parading themselves in sheep clothing but masquerading as enemies of progress have began their heinous crimes again against the new Vice Chancellor.
He lamented that in Just a year in office, Prof. Akinwunmi has elevated the standard of FUL to top in ranking, but lamented that rather than join in supporting him to take the institution to its Zenith as envisioned by the erudite Vice Chancellor, the cabal have started throwing spanners in the wheel of progress.
He warned that until the cabal is exposed, punished and shown the way out of the system, they would continue to be clog in the growth and development of the institution.
Barr. Dare described the cabal as people who are recalcitrant to change and positive development, said soon they will be exposed for the world to know them, described them as evil men who are not fit to live in a clime as the FUL.
While he urged Prof. Akinwunmi not to be distracted by the barking of the inglorious dogs whose stock in trade is to always engage in the pull him down syndrome, urged him to continue to do the good works he has started in the FUL.
The Convener explained that aside the academic ranking that has made the FUL the envy of all amongst University’s in the country, lauded his ongoing infrastructure development, described his coming as a blessing to the state particularly with the establishment of the faculty of Medicine, Engineering, Movement to the Permanent site within a very short time.
The Convener congratulated the Vice Chancellor on his eventful one year in office, commended him for successfully achieving accreditation for all the courses the institution is offering.
