Saturday, 3rd of June, 2023, I woke up reading the FAKE NEWS of the death of Governor Akeredolu of Ondo State in the media, particularly the Social media Space.
The most painful aspect of the Fake News was that it came from people I considered as good friends and responsible citizens who should have called to verify the News before spreading it and tagging the Governor’s pictures with RIP.
For God’s sake, why would anyone wish a fellow human being dead?
Although Death is a Necessary End that will come when it will come (Julius Caesar) however, people should be mindful not to wish a good man like Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu dead.
By all standards, Arakunrin as Governor of Ondo State is the best thing that has happened to the Sunshine state in the last six years.
As a responsible NON-INDIGENE living in the Sunshine State, I do not need the wisdom of king Solomon to know that Akeredolu is the Architect of Modern Ondo State.
No mortal is immune from health challenges, therefore, there is a possibility that one may get sick but this should not be promoted or celebrated by any normal human being at all.
For us as NON-INDIGENES who are doing very well in the Sunshine State, wishing the Governor DEAD is tantamount to wishing all of us DEAD. This is because Akeredolu’s Administration is the best thing that has happened to us since the creation of Ondo State.
What is expected of the good people of Ondo State right now is to participate in the ongoing THREE DAYS SPECIAL PRAYERS and FASTING organized by NON-INDIGENES for the Speedy Recovery of a Governor who has done so much for the Progress and Development of the State.
