As the State PDP convention draws close, interest has begin to pump up from various aspirants, and it is in this light that some PDP support groups across the state came together to to endorse Rt. Honourable Sunday Shigaba at Lugard Beech Hotel, Lokoja on Sunday 05/06/2023 whom they believed is the right person to pilot the affairs of the party base on his records of achievement in PDP. They are also using this avenue to call upon all support groups and KOGITEs in general to throw unalloyed support behind Sen. Dino Melaye because he has the best blue print for Kogi State.
Hon. Umar Francis one of the convener, a leader of a group spoke extensively on why Rt. Honourable Sunday Shigaba deserved the office. Because he his intelligent, his a team player, his down to earth, and much more experienced in politicking
The leader of *PDP FULL DOSE* Hon. Hussieni Abdul also shed more on why it must be Rt. Honourable Sunday Shigaba, he said considering the situation on ground, he will move party forward better than any other aspirant because of his understanding of party politics. Giving him this mandate is an added advantage to Sen. Dino Melaye chances of winning because of his proactivness, taken good decision at the right time and following it to the end. He further call on all Kogites to see Sen. Dino Melaye as the messiah that will lead the state to the promise land, he called on other support groups to join them in this viable crusade.
Hon. Mayowa Alabi Jacob the leader of PDP Liberation stated that the experience and achievement of Rt. Honourable Sunday Shigaba can not be quantify. He broke the ground of record in the last presidential and state house assembly election in Kogi East. He is a two time house of assembly member, a born leader, a man of honour and full of humility, a well cultured and respected gentleman.
Hon. Dauda Ozovehe one of the group leaders from the central flank of the state also spoke extensively on the personality of Rt. Honourable Sunday Shigaba that what PDP needs now is someone with wining tendencies who himself contested twice and won the State Assembly, Ozovehe said, Hon. Shigaba will replicate same at the state level if given the opportunity as the next Chairman of the party . He further reiterated that the combination of Rt. Honourable Sunday Shigaba and Sen. Dino Melaye will no doubt put the party on a better pedestal of wining the forth coming Gubernatorial election in Kogi State come November 2023.
