The best way to develope a country, particularly, Kogi Central should go beyond religion, clan and political party lines
The problem of most people in our society today is that; we consistently cut off some of the best people that can actually help in community development, of which we probably say they, “do not come from the same clan with us, not same religion and (or) political party. By saying all these I can unambiguously say this is not the right way to bring about positive development and progress we are all clamouring for.
We should be playing politics in line with the book of law governing this country. We all see and read the methods in which Citizenship can be acquired in Chapter III, Section 25, 26 and 27 of Nigerian constitution, which are by birth, registration and by naturalisation. Yet, we discriminate and pull down one another just because we don’t speak the same language or share same religious believes, etc..
I doubt if this portion of the constitution has been adhered to before. If yes, then what has changed suddenly? Is “One Nigeria” not applicable to to elections and the process thereof?
This article is mainly talking about the Ihima/Okehi, Ogori Local Government Area of Kogi state and other axis in the Central
As a teenager, I learnt Ebira people used to be the most accommodating ethnic group in Nigeria. I begin the question my fellow Ebiras that how can we be so good to none Ebiras while the reverse is the case amongst ourselves and within the soil?
What necessited the above question was the experience I have had about the National seats joining Ogori people and another seat combined the entire central which comprises of five Local Governments.

Let’s take Lugard House in Kogi state as a case study where the Kogi East axis might have vowed not to allowed others from the remaining part of the state to have a taste of the seat as if it’s their birthright. But the grace of God, His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, the fourth and the Fifth executive Governor of Kogi State emerged.
If actually we don’t want God to performed another wonder in Kogi state again, Okene LGA should as a matter of necessity lay down an agreement that will see the Ogori people who have been long over due for the seat in Green Chambers of the National Assembly to have a taste of it, and also the same gesture to be extended to other part of the Central that are long over due for the senatorial seat.
We must begin to lead by example by setting the pace for others to follow. Kogi Central Senatorial District has all it takes to be the leading light. Some of the brightest people in Nigeria today are origins of kogi central.
We won’t die by emulating some of our heroes who have transited to glory, the likes of Late A.T Ahmed, Dr. John Lawani of blessed memory and so many others I can’t mentioned who represented the symbol of Unity and progress in their time. Emulating them can only makes our legacy unrivaled.
