THE KOGI STATE COUNCIL OF ULAMA’U COMMUNIQUE AT THE END OF THE ANNUAL STATE EXPANDED EXECUTIVE OFFICIAL MEETING AT THE SECRETARIAT ON 12TH OCTOBER, 2025/20TH RABIUL THANNI, 1447AH
The Ummah is charged on the need to engage in good works since no one knows where his/her Jannah lies and when he will exit this world.
The State Chairman and the Vice in their respective speeches charged every Muslim to wake up to the cause of Allah SWT and follows His Divine Injuctions and the leadership of those in authority. They as well enjoined the need to love one another.
Special prayers was offered to the deceased members of the Council and other individual that died during the period under review which includes the Maigari of Lokoja, HRH Alh. Muhammed Kabir Maikarfi III, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, HRH Alh. Abdulrahman Ado Ibrahim, the Baba Adini of Okunland, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Ajidaun as well as Alhaji Muhammed Sanni Ahmed Ododo, the late father of His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, Executive Governor of Kogi State.
The activities of the respective twenty one (21) Local Government Areas of the Council of Ulamau were rendered and submitted to the secretariat.
Special prayers were offered in respect of crises, kidnapping, robbery, banditry and other forms of insecurity in some parts of the state particularly, the Bassa and Yagba West LGAs as well as the Nation in general.
The Council of Ulamau appreciated the goodwill, moral cum financial support of the government to the faith based organizations in the state in promoting peaceful co-existence amongst the citizens. It is the prayer of the Council that Almighty Allah continue to Guide, Direct, Support and Strengthen the Governor/Government to remain focused for the successes and accomplishments.
The Council appeals fervently to the State Government to take over the affairs of the Quran Recitation Competition at the State and National levels as it is done in most part of the country.
The next State Executive Meeting is hereby slated for the second week of Rabiul THANNI, that is, 16th Rabiul Thanni, 1448AH equivalent to 20th September, 2026.
