Members of staff of the Administrative Department of The Kogi State Newspaper Corporation, publishers of The Graphic, recently held a sent-forth program in honour of the corporation’s immediate Head of Maintenance, Mr Momoh Abuh Ogwuche on his retirement from service.
For his many years of dedicated and meritorious service to the corporation, the retiree, a pioneer staff of The Graphic, started his civil service career with the Voice Newspaper, Makurdi, Benue State until the creation of Kogi State in 1991, was presented with a special award in appreciation of his diligent service.
The celebrant, Mr Momoh Ogwuche dedicated the award to God, who he acknowledged has protected and preserved him in the 35 years of his service rising to become the Head of Maintenance Department of the newspaper.
On his part, The Graphic Corporation Secretary, Mr. Otaro Abiodun Peter who presided over the celebration, described the event as memorable in the history of the corporation, noting that the celebrant was a committed and dedicated civil servant.
He glowingly described Mr. Momoh as a hardworking and dedicated civil servant he has worked with within the short time he has spent in the corporation, adding that he is full of experience, understanding, and mature in the discharge of his responsibilities.
According to him, the Admin Department unanimously agreed to honour Mr. Momoh with the award on his retirement in recognition of his excellent service to the corporation, noting that his years in The Graphic is worthy of emulation.
He eulogised the retiree for his hard work and dedication to duty, saying he gave his best in the service of the corporation, prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health and protection for him as he brings his civil service career to an unblemished end.
