Mama-Taofiq Political Groups Awards Yahaya Bello Titled “The Ark of Hope”.
The Ebira nation was left stranded following the death of Late Senator A .T Ahmed of blessed memory. We became orphans politically in our own state and since, no other man from amongst us to lean on and considering the complexity in the state’s political sojourn, we began to look and pray for political guidance and savior.
Years passed, and God decided to send a messiah to emancipate the Ebira nation from the political strangulation of the Igala people; the fearless, fortuitous, conspicuous gallantry and devoted son of the land chosen for this sacred task is His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello. This gentleman of history is blessed with eloquent speeches, wisdom and immense patience so, that he may carry out his duty in the state with success.
Your Excellency, one can conveniently liken the story of your emergence to that of Prophet Nuh (ASW) who under the inspiration of Allah SWT was constructing an ark amidst constant mockery and jeering even by his own people. In the beginning, many people had thoughts of you being a businessman who have little or no knowledge of what politics is all about especially in a tripartite state of ours, little did we know that you are a divinely born politician of credence. Your concentration on the construct of this ‘ark of hope despite the continuous mockery and rejection convinced some of us who find hope and solace in your ambition and gradually entered into your political folds while the pessimists watched on with rage. Alhamdulillah, the good people of Kogi State have seen the divinity in your emergence, those who believed not in your capability before are now affirmatives to your visible giant developmental strides.
Your Excellency, that you have a hitch-free personified governance for eight (8) years in Kogi as an Ebira person is not the magic, what is amazing is that you chose our brother, another Ebira person to succeed you. This happenstance was a nightmare to the sadists, it looks unrealistic to those who never still believe in your impeccable political wherewithal, but you keep on moving, jumping over hurdles and plots as if, there were none or no thorns in governance. Isnt it amazing how you transformed the den of banditry into heaven? We are aware, that His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello inherited a beleaguered state that had been in the hands of bandits and preoccupied by boundary crisis but, he has by sheer statesmanship, pragmatism, and managerial prowess, freed Kogi State citizens from despair and today, Kogi State is adjudged the most peaceful state of the federation.
Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time in history, Kogi State had a sitting governor demystifying governance, pulled courage enough to the point of contesting with the giants, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Honestly, this is an unprecedented feat in the annals of our politics. It brings the young people of the state and Nigerians at large love of politics, love of his administrative prowess and certainly loves of his personality as youth.
Your Excellency, we have passionately studied your resolve on the choice of Alh. Usman Ododo as not only to succeed you but also a careful selection made to foster the unity of Ebiraland and Kogi State in general. Alh. Usman Ododo is a symbol of unity, simplicity, and humanity. He has been a philanthropist even before he entered into your political folds but, he controlled his ego by not being one of the reverberating figures of the land; in nutshell, he is a tight-lipped philanthropist yet, the world had noticed and adjudged him as one of the most generous, most acceptable and marketable candidate that Kogi State needs at this material time.
Fellow Kogites, he who doubts the reality of rapture may miss the kingdom of God; let’s embrace this divinity as our collective destiny and vote Alh. Usman Ododo for he has been tested, trusted and ready to spill the milk of humanity and kindness whenever there is depression-he will give bread to the eaters and seeds to the sowers.
Your Excellency, the mama-taofiq political groups adore your leadership qualities and performance and as a way of saying thank you for giving us Alh. Usman Ododo, we have passionately designed for you this succinct award “The Ark of Hope” for being a hope to the people of Kogi State and Nigerians.
