Teachers Recruitment: Kogi State To Conduct Interview for successful candidates Wednesday.


 

The Kogi State Government will on Wednesday, next week commence the interview of Successful candidates that passed the Aptitude test for Teachers to be recruited in the state secondary schools.

 

 

The Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones made the disclosure in a chat with The Nigerian Post, said 40 was the pass mark for those shortlisted for the interview.

The Commissioner disclosed that efforts is being put in place to ensure a seamless exercise, disclosed that the interview would hold at the GYB Model School located at Adankolo.

He said the candidates would be interviewed on the subjects they intend to teach, said already candidates to appear for the interview have been sent SMS messages.

He said the essence of the interview is to ascertain if those who sat for the interview were truly the people and not ghost that wrote the Aptitude test.

Similarly, candidates he explained are expected to come with there original documents, valid means of identification and to come with there utility bill to show that they are residence in the State.

A six different panel the Commissioner disclosed would be constituted to interview the candidates to ease the process.

Recalled that the State Government began the process to fill up exiting vacancies in Secondary Schools. About 7000 shortlisted candidates appeared for the Aptitude test.

Kogi State Science Technical Education and Teaching Service Commission (STETSCOM), is saddled with the responsibility of employing the teachers.

The state government is expected to in the first batch employ successful 2000 teachers with 4000 to be recruited in all at the end of the recruitment exercise. About 17,000 candidates applied for the teachers recruitment
