Strike: Activist Calls for quick resolution of crisis between AEDC, relevant authorities.


 

The Executive Director of Conscience for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution,
Lokoja Kogi State, Comr. Idris Miliki Abdul, has called for the quick resolution between Abuja Electricity Distribution Company and the relevant authorities.

Comr. Miliki made the call in a statement, said the strike has affected Economic activities in the affected states of Kogi, Nasarawa, Abuja, Parts of Edo, Niger and Kaduna States.

He called for the resolution of the internal differences between AEDC and the management, lamented that the strike at this point in time is unnecessary.

The Activists disclosed that the avoidable crisis is unnecessary and should be resolved immediately, as it has affected water supply and health of people in the affected states in North Central Nigeria.

The statement call on the relevant authorities, such as State Governors, the labour Unions and other relevant stakeholders to intervain towards saving the situation.

While he pointed out that it is the right of working people to demand for their rights through a peaceful means, called for the settlement of the crisis as it is adding untold hardship on the masses.
