According to them, Johnson Atseleghe, ” oppress us in our various communities and he singlehandedly differs and disregards the instructions of the Enogie of Ologbo and our Revered Oba by swearing in his own Odionwere in a community that is under the control of the Oba of Benin and where there is an Enogie

Chief Johnson Atseleghe was alleged to have installed Pa Benson Otikpere as Odionwere (OLARE-OJA ), in Ajamimogha community without the permission of the Enogie of Ologbo and the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare 11 on the 8th of November, 2024.

Also he was alleged to have warned the people in the communities that the position of OLARE-OJA is hereditary and not political, calling on those contesting for the position to retrace their steps and join the new OLARE-OJA to move the community forward.

They queried the authority of Chief Johnson Asteleghe to swore in an Odionwere of a Community where there is an Enogie and where he did not come from. “Who is Chief Johnson Atseleghe in Ologbo Dukedom?

“Is Chief Johnson Asteleghe now a Traditional Ruler in Ologbo Dukedom or a Chief in Delta State.”?

“We are hereby using this medium to call on the Enogie of Ologbo, the Oba of Benin kingdom to immediately facilitate the extradition of Chief Johnson Asteleghe from Ologbo Dukedom back to his village in Warri, Delta State.

” To continue his activities over there and for peace to reign in Ologbo Dukedom in particular and Edo State in general as there cannot be two Enogie in a Dukedom.

We appeal to our great Royal Majesty-Oba of Benin, and Edo State Government in particular and the world in general to come and save us from the demonic, oppressive and intimidating hands of Chief Johnson Asteleghe (the Iyatsere of Warri in Delta State), Nigeria.
