The leadership of ICDA National Executive Council has cautioned Oyigu against any act of irresponsibility and unethical practice with the name of the Association. The National President of the Association, Alhaji Amodu Abubakar Sadiq stated this while reacting to a press release where Oyigu claimed to have hosted a meeting of ICDA board of Trustees at Rock Garden lokoja. ” Why holding ICDA meetings in a hotel/gardens ?? Imagine a Man who is pleading with court to declare his Board valid and he is far from getting the verdict still parading himself as a board member”
Oyigu exit from ICDA board through a duly deliberation at the floor of AGM is on the ground of integrity and unethical practices and members of the Association Nationwide have no regret taken that decision. ICDA affairs can never be a one Man show rather, the General Assembly has a constitutional mandate to fire and hire any airing principal members. The embattled BOT member is advice to face his court case rather than confusing the public with wrong information and illegally appointing questionable people to manage the affairs of ICDA as interim ExCo. He should also be preparing to tell the public how the N500,000.00 given to ICDA by Engr Sunday Edibo in February, 2018 was diverted to personal account and is not accounted for, which marked the beginning of his problem with ICDA.
On the interference of the palace and position of Atta Igala on ICDA, the current National ExCo is the number one respecter of the Igala Traditional Council and shall act accordingly when it’s properly communicated.
Members of ICDA at all levels are advised to remain calm and ignore any social media publications about ICDA that didn’t emanate from it National Secretariat, Igala Unity House Anyigba. The National President assured members of the Association that their popular mandate will never be taken for granted.
