Stallion Times Boss Identifies Media As Most Powerful Entity On Earth


 

The Media has been described as the most powerful entity on earth as it has been discovered that the media control the minds of the masses.

 

Isiyaku Ahmed, Project Coordinator and Editor-in-Chief, Stallion Times Media Services (STMS), made the disclosure at a two day training workshop on “tracking constituency projects” Get Involved, Dialogue and Improving Project – GDRIP organized by Stallion Times Media Services (STMS), with Support from McArthur Foundation held at the New Age Hall in Lokoja.

The Coordinator urged the media to always identify the problem, identify the issues, ensure that the get the facts, with the right targets by identifying the allies and build coalition in carrying out media advocacy.

While pointing out that the world is moving towards artificial intelligence at a supersonic speed with the internet of things now the vogue, urged the media to determine the effective method, review, evaluate and make adjustments where necessary when carrying out media advocacy.

The Coordinator urged the media to always build agenda, influence the direction of public debate and put pressure on policy makers to act in certain way by projecting certain values which people imbibe when they carry out advocacy.

The two day capacity building for media and Civil Society Organisations is aimed at training and building capacity of media/CSOs on budget processes and procedures.

The workshop also aims at training journalists/CS Advocates on how to track constituency projects as well as improve journalists capacity on writing investigative stories on constituency projects.
