It was a gathering of Muslim Scholars, friends and well wishers at Ife Olukotun, Yagba East LGA of Kogi State on Saturday, 22nd January, 2022 as a special prayer session was held for the Late Hajiya Marietu Omorinola Adeboye, mother of Kogi State JNI Secretary, Alhaji Isa Adeboye.
The Chief Imam of Ife Olukotun led the special prayer session and called on Muslims to emulate the the good works of the deceased to elicit the favours of Allah. He implored the children to uphold the good legacies of their late mother.
In an admonition, the Chief Imam of Iyara advised Muslims to prepare for a meeting with their Lord as every living creature must taste death.
In a remark, the State Chairman of Jama’atu Nasril Islam, Ambassador Usman Bello described the deceased as a woman who virtuously brought up her children, bequething to JNI one of them , Alhaji Isa Adeboye who has dedicated his entire life to the upliftment of Islam.
In a vote of thanks, Alhaji Isa Adeboye, son of the deceased and Secretary, JNI, Kogi State thanked all those who stood by the family all through and prayed Allah to reward them abundantly. He particularly appreciated JNI Kogi State, Council of Ulamau, FOMWAN, all Islamic groups in Okunland, Idah Muslim Forum, KOSMO, League of Imams, JIBWIS, CAN and
all other organizations for their show of love and sympathy.
The session was attended by HRH, Alhaji Muhammed Shaibu Ayegbajeje, the Olukotun of Ife Olukotun, the Former MD of Daily Trust Newspapers, Alhaji Isiak Ajibola, all members of JNI Exco in the state, the Imam of JNI Jummuah Mosque,Lokoja, Sheikh Usman Tauheed and other Islamic Scholars.
