Special Adviser on Labour, Hon Onuh Edoka receives SAC of NLC, promises Governor Ododo’s continued commitment to workers welfare

Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Labour matters, Hon Comrade Onuh Edoka says the present administration in the state will continue to demonstrate high level of responsiveness in governance.

Comrade Edoka stated this in his office at the Government House while receiving the State Administrative Council, SAC of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC.

He said he was elated by the show of love, explaining that his labour background will pave way for him to contribute positively to the growth of the state.

Comrade Edoka said Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo remains workers friendly as demonstrated so far, stressing that workers will continue to enjoy more from the present administration.

According to him, the Governor is positively disposed to making positive impact on the lives of the people hence the new narrative being witnessed.

Earlier, the Kogi State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Gabriel Amari said the appointment of Comrade Onuh Edoka as Special Adviser to the Governor on Labour matters is a blessing to the workforce.

The NLC Chairman said the visit was to formerly congratulate him and acknowledge his contributions to the well-being of the workers.

According to him, there is a great departure from the past, noting that both the workers and pensioners are feeling the gains of democracy through the minimum wage implementation and pension review.

Comrade Amari urged the Special Adviser to sustain the tempo, assuring that the organized labour will continue to give him the needed support.

In her speech, Chairperson of the women wing of the NLC,
Hajia Habibat Umar Ibrahim who spoke on behalf of the NLC Women Committee, appreciated the Governor on his impactful policies,.

Hajia Habibat who doubles as a Vice Chairperson of the NLC also described Onuh Edoka as a trusted labour guru who will strengthen partnership that will benefit not only the labor community but also the state at large.
