I think this young man is moving and consulting extensively which is the best strategy to capture people’s sympathy preparatory for any political show down.
I have discovered that other aspirants vying for the same seat from both ruling & opposition parties think that the young, energetic, brilliant young politician does not know what he’s doing; and that in their usual cunning, deceptive approach, they will come in and simply snatch the party’s ticket from out of the blue, made possible by the so-called ‘consensus’ model of robbery which has typically proved unrewarding for any sound democratic development in a multi-party democracy.
Without mincing my words, I have repeatedly sounded notes of serious warning that in the best interest of our democratic survival, we have to jettison such jaundiced, parochial and cowardly protection of weak contestants coming in from the rear to snatch party tickets. We have reluctantly overlooked these shams in the past which have characterized our electoral mishaps, but it will certainly never be condoned by any right thinking PDP democrat ahead of the much awaited 2023 make or mar race.
It is in the light of this that I cherish the wisdom of this youthful, vibrant rescuer of the main opposition party in assembling some politically consummate, dashing young talents and experienced, old veterans of the political calculus to help midwife his campaign efforts. Such suave calculation is already yielding some rewarding dividends. The political space amassed by Otunba Niyi Olayemi today, as exemplified by the massive sympathy endorsements he has garnered in the last five months of his sleepless ground-breaking moves can never be underestimated by his ‘slumbering’ opponents who are yet to even contemplate throwing their hats into the ring. His late mother, a quintessential epitome of humility, warmth & consistent benevolence in her political relationship with the people of Lokoja/Koto Fed constituency, is a huge joker and an assured recipe for So’mi Edumare’s massive aggregation of our delegates votes from this most strategic vote spinning constituency which overtime has been and still remains the West Senatorial’s largest base, where crucial victory votes are farmed out in any contest. We from this district have been known from time immemorial to be wary of any politician with the instinct of ‘fire brigade’ formula of campaigns because of such incessant voodoo, braggadocios and half-truths that cloak these veteran’s lies in their promises from beginning to the end. Honestly, we are tired of all these glorified jokers. Enough of this shit! New breed is the answer please!
But Niyi Olayemi is currently stainless, raw, dependable, and empathetic to many Kogi westerners, with their multitudes of palaver and he is most visible and availably generous to the stomach-petition of the average struggling politicians from this senatorial enclave of today. There is just no doubt or ambivalence about this incontestable assertion I have given. Go and conduct your opinion poll and come for a debate with me on this please. I am ever prepared for this, head or tails.
Those who think they can use any caricature model or any abracadabra to muffle our delegates for votes, based on their hitherto obnoxious, obsolete and medieval “cash and carry” stampede and stealing, will surely be in for a momentous showdown this time. And if they outmanoeuvre the concerned democrats in this electoral college for this ticket of our great party through the sheer impunity of the party’s helmsmen who have remained impervious to sensible political reasoning, then the sheer democratic force of this people, especially from the largest voting populace in the district, would for sure, package the commensurate democratic response to their imposed candidates as appropriate. Niyi Olayemi remains a blessed, young and highly underrated colossus amongst his peers, but he is unarguably the untainted contestant amongst the anticipated pack of other jokers we have been hinted on. Niyi must remain focused, undaunted, fearless and resolute to dare all. They will be the ones to blink first in this ‘rofo-rofo’ battle and certainly not you. That would be the millennium wonder and package of shocks that await all your competitors from your kitty. Only time will tell; So’mi Edumare. Hold firmly onto your victory rope without looking back or fretting about anything, God will light the way.
