felicitating with the highly cerebral and youngest Chief of Staff to a Seating Governor in Nigeria for winning Youth of the Year Award in the Stardom Global Awards 2021 organised by SGtv, I am delighted to express my satisfaction concerning the outcome of the four weeks long online voting. And I was not surprised Pharm. Asuku emerged as Youth of the Year.
SGtv is an online television service provider, public opinion pooling agent and media communications organization with headquarters in Abuja. There are 44 categories in the Stardom Global Awards, and the last Youth of the Year in 2020 was the Speaker Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon. Debo Ogundoyin.
Hon. Debo assumed office as the Speaker of Oyo Assembly at age 32 in 2019, making him the youngest to hold the position in the country.
In this year’s edition of the Award, and from the category of The Youth of the Year, some notable Nigerians were nominated alongside Pharm. Asuku. The likes of; Barr. Mahdi Aliyu-Gusau, Zamfara State Deputy Governor, and Hon. Debó Ogundoyin, Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly. But I am glad that without biasness, and with the visible track records of Pharm. Asuku in the areas of youth inclusiveness in governance, and youth empowerments across all corners of Kogi State, the voters need not be compelled as Pharm. Asuku won with a wide margin.
I was present at an event few weeks ago, where the foundation of Pharm. Asuku, PAAYEF, presented 150 computers for the second time to graduands of God’s Own Computer Institute at Okene. This made it 300 computers in total, that his foundation would be giving out after sponsorship of their computer literacy training with the institute.
Pharm. Asuku is always more than willing to give back to his people and particularly the youths. He has demonstrated in so many ramifications that he can be trusted with power at any level of governance. I am glad that others who are not from Kogi State, are beginning to see the light in him.
I congratulate you sir, for this great honor bestowed upon you by Nigerian youth. This is a testament that your good works in the youth constituency are not unnoticed.
