The Senator representing Edo South Senatorial district in the upper chamber, Barrister Neda Imasuen has vowed to follow the foot steps of his predecessor, Senator Mathew Urhoghide in the areas of creating the dividends of democracy to his people .
Barrister Neda Imasuen also described Matthew Urhoghide, as a man that had accomplished whose projects in Edo South, when he was a Senator created a lot of developments that have spread to every party of the Senatorial district.
He made the statements in a welcome home reception organized by the Edo South Development Patriots ( ESDP) to honor Senator Matthew Urhoghide for the great achievements he had brought to Edo South in Benin city, at the weekend said the past Senator had also touched the lives of some individuals who are not from the district because of his generosity.
He added:” well, I am not very surprised at the accolade given to my predecessor, Senator Matthew Urhoghide, and is a man of great accomplishments that have spread all over the place. It is an accomplishments that are verifiable, and accomplishments that have spread across the seven local government in Edo South Senatorial district.
” There are a lot that people have not spoken about of Senator Mathew, and how he had even helped many individuals. In the areas of giving scholarship to students, empowered people with skills capacity. I am happy because the immediate past Senator has been honest. Giving those of us that are just coming up, and I that took over from him the strength to do it better than the way it has been done before.
” So that we too can be remember the way he had been remembered today. So, I am excited, happy and glad, and I thanked those who organized this event to welcome back home Senator Matthew Urhoghide . He had done so well, his representation in Edo South Senatorial district had speak great volumes and praises,” Barr. Neda stated
On his his admonition to politicians, the Senator representing Edo South said,” well to politicians, including myself just as you media said unknownly to us, the press is watching all our activities. So, whatever things we are doing must be and reflect the wish, focus and demands of the people.
So that we can be credibly remember to have done things that have impact meaningfully in the lives of the people we represented. When we do that the honor given to Senator Matthew today, will also be given to us,” he stressed.
