Sen. Sunday Steve Karimi Education Foundation has announced the commencement of bursary for 1390 Higher Institution Students

The bursary is for students who are of Kogi West Senatorial district.

The commencement date for application for the bursary is 1ST – 31ST AUGUST 2025.

According to the Sen. Karimi Education Foundation, each student will receive N100,000.

Recalled that a similar bursary was paid to students in tertiary institution by the foundation last year, where the Senator disbursed N100m to 1000 students.

Sen. Karimi’s support for education, infrastructure upgrades beginning from Koton karfe where he is rehabilitating GSS Koton Karfe with over N1.3b, in Lokoja, Kabba, Mopamuro, Yagba East and West Councils.

This year’s Sen. Karimi’s scholarship scheme for students will gulp another N300m across the State at the end of the exercise.

Recalled that the Senator in his avowed commitment to security built a N850milliion, 94 bed space Military Forward Base in Egbe. This project was personally built by Kogi West Lawmaker, Senator Sunday, geared towards fighting insecurity along the Egbe corridor. The FOB in Egbe, is the biggest ever to have been built by an individual for the Military.

Similarly, Sen. Karimi has last year disbursed another N100m for women cooperative society.

His other interventions include water supply and sanitation projects of about 170 Boreholes.

Sen. Karimi also converted his Constituency funds of about N6b he was able to pull together into the Kabba Ilorin Federal Government road.

Recalled that since 16 years ago, the Kabba Ilorin road has been left abandoned with no budgetary allocation. The Contractor’s have returned to site courtesy of his modest sacrifice.

The Senator has also built and rehabilitated over 150 solar-powered boreholes across communities as well as the rehabilitation of schools and constructed 1,000-seat lecture hall in Kogi State University Kabba, amongst several others note able projects.
