SECURITY BOOSTED AT LOKOJA INTERNATIONAL MARKET AS CONSULTANT INAUGURATES SECURITY HOUSE

 

The security of lives and properties at the International Market Lokoja has been reinvigorated with the inauguration of a security house by the Market Consultant, Adams Babangida.

The Consultant was today showered with praises for his ingenuity, passion, and innovation in bringing new ideas to the management of the International Market since he assumed leadership.

The Maigari of Lokoja, HRH Alhaji Gambo Muhammad, could not hide his joy and prayed for the Consultant to continue on his positive trajectory.

Alhaji Hassan Inuwa, Union Chairman, described the initiative to build a security post to complement the Police as a welcome development, saying it will help protect goods and properties.

Comr. Abdullahi Adamu, Council Chairman of Lokoja LGA, who commissioned the edifice, described it as a product of good thinking and said Adams Babangida has proven that he knows his onions.

Alhaji Yakubu Isiaka Adabenege, Auditor for the Local Government, represented by Hon. Rufai, said the Consultant is making the State Government proud by working in line with the broader perspective of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo’s blueprint for peace and security.

Hon. Adams Babangida, speaking at the occasion, appreciated Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo for giving him the opportunity to serve and promised to continue offering service that creates an enabling environment for business to thrive.

He said the idea to build a Security Post is to help provide all-round security for traders and occupants of the Market.

He described security as a collective responsibility and praised Hon. Victor Omofaiye, Alhaji Sule Enehi, the Chief of Staff Ali Bello, and the Chairman of Lokoja LGA for creating an enabling environment that has made service in the International Market more conducive.

He praised the Maigari of Lokoja for his fatherly support and said the initiative reflects the Ododo administration’s commitment to meeting the yearnings and aspirations of the people.

The commissioning of the Security Post was witnessed by representatives of the Ministry of Commerce, Kogi Internal Revenue Service, and others who said Comr. Babangida has made a mark in improving the welfare of people doing business in the Market.

Highlights of the event was the commissioning by the Chairman of Lokoja LGA, Comr. Abdullahi Adamu.
