SAPZ When Operational Has Capacity to Provide Over One Million Jobs – Hon. Wemi Jones


 

The Kogi State Special Agro Industrial Processing Zone would when operational provide over one million jobs for the people of the State, particularly people from Kabba Bunu LGA.

Kogi State Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones made the disclosure at a Stakeholders engagement meeting for environmental and Social Impact Assessment for the proposed Kogi Special Agro- industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ) and associated Developments, said the project has the capacity to engage the teeming unemployed in the State.

The Commissioner at the Stakeholders engagement which held at Lisa Palm Hotel, Kabba, Kogi State today, described the project as monumental, expressed optimism that the unemployment challenges in the State would soon be a thing of the past.

While he praised Gov. Yahaya Bello for his love for the people of Kabba Bunu in general, said the people of Bunu land in particular would remain eternally grateful for the love the governor has towards them.

Hon. Jones assured that the issues of education in Kabba Bunu LGA particularly with emphasis to the employment of teachers, particularly science teachers is and would be given attention.

He assured of the support of the people of Kabba Bunu to the administration of Gov Yahaya Bello, described the Governor as a rare breed politician and seasoned administrator whose passion is the people’s welfare.
