A chieftain Of the All Progressive Congress APC,
Engr Saliu Ahmed has said Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress will sweep the poll come Saturday 25 , 2023.
The staunch Edo North district APC member who is also one of those vigorously campaigning for the success of the APC at the polls, urged the people of Edo State to queue behind the party candidates, adding the presidency of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, if elected, will favour both the country and the state.
Engr Ahmed, the Managing Director of Benin- Owena River Basin Department Authority, BORDA, explained that the track record of the APC presidential candidate in public service is impeccable and exactly what is required at such a crucial period in the life of the country
He maintained further that though Asiwaju Tinubu first shot into the national limelight as the Lagos West SDP Senator during the ill-fated Third Republic, he was, however, to later dazzle everyone with his resplendence as the governor of Lagos State between 1999 to 2007 when he practically rebuilt the former nation’s capital city into an economic fortress
Engr Ahmed described that particular fear as squeezing water out of the rock, insisting Asiwaju Tinubu is the right person who can pull the country out of its present predicaments and restore its lost glory because he has previously been tested and can, therefore, be trusted to deliver
As regards the possibility of sustaining the tempo of the good works which the BORDA has made in the lives of the average Edo North person, Engr Ahmed, who also holds the prestigious traditional title of the Sodiq of the Auchi kingdom, is hopeful of early completion for the life-impacting BORDA projects at various stages of work if Asiwaju Tinubu is in the helm of affairs
In particular, he poured encomiums on the state leadership of the APC, led by the tenacious former comrade governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, for leading his men in battle, providing visionary leadership, and also working tirelessly behind the scene to sell the Tinubu/Shettima candidature not minding the series of hurdles placed on his path by the intolerant and undemocratic ruling PDP
Above all, he sounded upbeat about a possible APC success in the February 25 presidential and national assembly poll, stating the prospect of a Tinubu/Shettima victory will serve as icing on the cake given the tremendous amount of work every APC member in the state has put in to ensure the success of the project.
The landmark projects of the BORDA in various parts of the Edo North district, under the headship of Engr Ahmed, whom most APC chieftains describe as the “poster boy” of the party, are now what some of the APC candidates are pointing at in trying to persuade the electorates
