The Kogi State Government has been praised for its support to the Nigerian Police, described the peace the State is witnessing as a product of Partnership with security agencies.
The General Manager, Kogi State Commuunity and Social Developement Agency, Mallam Momoh Dauda made the disclosure at the presentation of reflective jackets to the Nigerian Police Traffic Officers and Wardens as well as to men of the Motorcycle Riders Association in Lokoja.
Mallam Dauda commended the administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello for doing well in his support to the welfare of the Nigerian Police, urged the men of the Nigerian Police to continue with there good works irrespective of what some negative thought about there performances.
The GM said the agency has successfully intervene in the provision of some basic amenities to several Communities in the state, said the gesture to donate reflect jacket underscores the need for men of the Police Traffic Wardens and the Okada Riders to stay safe while performing there assignments.
The GM CSDA said the agency appreciates the role of the Traffic Wardens and the Okada Riders, said the reflective jackets is to ensure that they are safe at all times, said the agency is not unmindful of the challenges both the Traffic Wardens and the Okada Riders are passing through.
Mallam Dauda promised to open up a new Partnership with the Police Traffic Wardens and the Okada Riders, assured of the Agency’s continued Partnership on safety protocols, commended there efforts in the socioeconomic developement of the State.
In there separate remarks, the Kogi State Traffic Warden Officer, CSP Mrs Omole Comfort, described the gesture by the CSDA as a tonic that would spur them to do more, appreciated the donation.
Mrs Omole disclosed that the Nigerian Police in the state is enjoying a cordial working relationship with the State Government, said it was such support that enabled men of the Police renewed there commitment to service post Endsars protest.
Similarly, Mr. John Medupin, the Deputy Chairman, Okada Riders Association, said the gesture by CSDA is coming at a better time, approaching the Yuletide, assured that members would make optimum use of the reflective jackets.
The Okada Riders Association thanked the CSDA for there successes in improving Infrastructure and amenities in rural Communities, assured of a working relationship with the agency.
