A Socio Cultural Group, the EDO NATIONAL VOICE , (ENV), has applauded the removal of the
Enogie of Evbuobonosa Dukedom, Professor Greg Akenzua by His Royal Majesty Oba Ewuare 11 For His sacrilegious activities with some Enigies in Benin kingdom.
The group in a release made available to The Nigerian Post and signed by the President, Iyamu Osaro Culture and Secretary General, Osaghae Collins Amadin, accused Professor Greg Akenzua and some Enigies Of “playing the script written by Governor Ọbaseki to undermine our revered Throne and Benin Kingdom over his in ability to take custody and ownership of our repatriating artefacts which rightfully and historically belongs to our revered Throne.”
Iyamu said, “It is regrettably regrettable to state that recent happenings within the circle of some defiant Enigies led by the sacked Enogie of Evbuobonosa Dukedom, Professor Greg Akenzua who is their gang leader has clearly shown their traits of betrayal, selfishness, ungratefulness and sacrilegious against our well structured Benin Kingdom where they recommended to Governor Obaseki to grant them their own Local Government Traditional Council as against the Culture, Heritage, Custom and Tradition of Benin Kingdom.”
“It could be recall that we have humbly called on our revered Oba Ewaure II, Oba of Benin Kingdom umpteenth times to place these miniature enemies of Benin Kingdom to where they rightfully belong to. Thus, the twin action carried our recently by our revered Oba Ewaure II wherein he sacked the Enogie of Ogie-Egbaen Siluko Dukedom, Mr. Iduozee Edomwonyi and his gang leader, Enogie of Evbuobonosa Dukedom, Professor Greg Akenzua is symmetry and have the full support of all great Sons and Daughters of Benin Kingdom and our Ancestors.”
They urged, “ the enigies who are the enemies of Oba to submit to the doctrine of our rich Culture, Heritage Custom and Tradition to avoid the wrath of the people and our Ancestors as evidently seen in recent time.”
